Arundel Castle is undoubtedly one of the most spectacular landmarks in Sussex, first built on the site of an original Saxon fortification at the end of the 11th century by Roger D. Montgomery the first Earl of Arundel.
This castle is now owned by Miles Francis, 17th Duke of Norfolk Earl Marshal of England and has been the home of the Duke of Norfolk and their ancestors for 850 years.

Molten Sky
'Molten Sky' painting in watercolours by Kevan Koya
Sky,
The colour of molten lava
Is dripping and pouring,
Forcing it's way down,
Down between the fractured
And decapitated buildings,
Like a fiery river
Raging and unstoppable,
Showing no mercy
For these fallen victims
In this decade of destruction.
Their mutilated and wretched forms
Are brutally exposed and silhouetted
Against the dying sun,
Closely resembling mountain peaks
Pointing their jagged and desperate fingers
Towards the heavens,
Longingly gazing at the stars
In a sad defeated hopelessness
As the light is slowly extinguished:
So many soul searching questions
As to why,
So many prayers
Left unanswered,
Forever lost in a molten sky.
